Executive Chef Jason McClure

In every restaurant there is a heartbeat, a life force that pulses through each facet of the establishment. In Sazerac's case, it emanates from the kitchen and shows itself in the form of Executive Chef Jason McClure and his team. With a knack for blending the South's soul-soothing tastes with the prized flavors from the Pacific Northwest, Chef McClure gives Sazerac its singular essence.

After graduating with a degree in Hotel/Restaurant Management from Northern Arizona University, Chef McClure cooked his way across the country. From the southwest north to Minneapolis, Chef worked his way up through several restaurants before his spatula came to rest at Sazerac in 1997.

Chef McClure's menus are influenced by his travels around the country, but the originality of his Sazerac dishes is where the outcome is, in Chef McClure's own words, "fresh, simple and focused."

Chef McClure carries his devotion for cooking with him everywhere. Which is why, along with preparing the flavorful dishes at Sazerac every night, he teaches his "Little Bit of Lovin'" cooking classes. On special nights throughout the year, Chef McClure shares his passion and love for cooking with those who carry the same sentiments for food. It was Chef's passion that garnered him an invitation to the venerable James Beard House in New York City, where he introduced Big Apple foodies to his distinct Northwest creations.

When not cooking, Chef McClure enjoys time with his daughter Chloe, traveling, building vintage bicycles, dabbling in photography, and satisfying his love for sushi.
